A relaxed, hands-in-the-soil workshop for moms and little ones aged 2–5. Each child gets everything they need for the activity. Connect with other parents with a hot cuppa in hand while the kids dig in and play. Now themed!

The morning, roughly
What to expect
- 1 Arrive & settle in Find your spot outside in the garden. There's tea, coffee and treats for the grown-ups, and muffins for little hands to munch on too.
- 2 Hands in the soil Each child gets their own seedlings, pots and soil. We get into the activity: choosing flowers, scooping, digging and patting it all down together — messy is exactly the point.
- 3 Plant something of their own Your little one pots up some plants that are truly theirs, at their own pace. No rushing, no pressure, no such thing as too messy.
- 4 Take it home & watch it grow Head home with your freshly potted plants and a happy, muddy kiddo — plus a few simple tips to keep them thriving.
What's included
- Seedlings, pots, stickers to decorate with, plant markers and soil for each child
- Four flowers/herbs to take home and watch grow, or 1 terracotta pot and flowers
- Tea, coffee and treats for the grown-ups
- Muffins for small hands
Where
Set up outdoors in the garden of my homely Rondebosch studio in Cape Town. The exact address is shared once you've booked, and there's street parking outside.
Who it's for
Made for little ones aged 2 to 5 and their grown-up. Each booking is one adult and one child, and groups stay small (max 8 kids) so everyone has space to dig in. Bringing a second little one? Just grab a second spot.
Cancellations
Bookings are non-refundable, but you're welcome to change the date of your booked session. Please just give me sufficient notice for catering purposes.
Coming more than once?
The Mom Pass
Most little ones want to come back the following week — so if Wednesdays are becoming your thing, a pass works out cheaper than booking each time.
- 4 sessions R900 R225 a session · save R100
- 6 sessions R1,275 R212.50 a session · save R225
One session is one grown-up and one child, same as a normal booking. Use them on any Wednesday, morning or afternoon, at whatever pace suits you. No expiry.

We had such a lovely morning at the Mommy and Me plant potting workshop! Everything was so thoughtfully organised, and my girls loved decorating their pots with all the little stickers before planting. They loved choosing their own flowers, getting their hands dirty and planting their own little creations. It was such a fun morning and a wonderful way to spend quality time together.
