Frequently asked questions
Everything you might want to know before joining a workshop.
-
Where are the workshops held?
My workshops are hosted in my home in Rondebosch, in Cape Town's Southern Suburbs. The exact address is shared once you've booked. -
How many people are in each workshop?
I keep my groups small on purpose — usually no more than 8 people. It means you get my full attention and everyone gets to connect with one another. -
Can I bring a sibling to the Mommy and Me workshop?
Because spaces and materials are set per pair, each booking covers one adult and one child. If you'd like to bring a second child, just book a second spot (subject to availability) so they have their own seedlings and space. -
Do I need any experience?
Not at all. Every workshop is designed for complete beginners — and the Mommy and Me mornings are all about little hands exploring, so there's nothing to prepare. Just bring yourself (and your little one, for Mommy and Me). -
What's included in the price?
Everything you need for the workshop, plus mimosas/tea, coffee and sweet treats. You'll also leave with something to take home — a flower arrangement in a brand-new vase (Bubbles & Blooms), a small bag of my go-to potting mix (Happy Houseplants), or plants your little one potted up (Mommy and Me). -
What's included in the Mommy and Me workshop?
Everything — seedlings, pots, soil, tools, aprons, clean-up, and plants to take home, plus tea and treats for the grown-ups and juice and snacks for the little ones. Just bring yourselves. -
How do I book?
Spots are limited and these mornings fill up, so it's best to book ahead. Use the Book button on any workshop page to reserve your spot, and you'll get a confirmation from me. -
How do I pay?
When you book through the website you'll be taken straight to SnapScan to pay securely. Your seat is confirmed as soon as payment reflects — I'll send a confirmation to your email or WhatsApp. -
How does the Mom Pass work?
You buy 4 or 6 sessions upfront at a lower rate. You then book a class via the website as usual, and instead of paying again, press 'Book using my Mom Pass credit' at the bottom of the booking form. -
Do I still need to book each week?
Yes please. Spaces are limited and I plan the plants around numbers, so pop your name down for whichever Wednesday you want. Your pass just means you don't pay again at checkout. -
What if we can't make it one week?
Let me know the day before and the credit goes straight back into your pass. If it's a no-show on the day, then the session is used up, only because I've already bought and prepped the plants. -
Can I share it with a friend?
Please do. If a friend wants to try a session, use one of yours for her. It's also a nice thing to gift a new mom. -
My child is nearly two / just turned six. Is that okay?
The activity is pitched at 2 to 5 year olds, but if you think your little one will enjoy digging about in soil for an hour, they'll be fine. -
What should I bring?
Just yourself! If you're doing the Happy Houseplants workshop and want to bring along a troubled plant for the diagnosis clinic, you're very welcome to. And for a Mommy and Me potting session, please bring a change of clothes for your little one — things get happily messy. -
What's your cancellation policy?
If you can no longer make it, you're welcome to transfer your booking to a friend — just let me know their name before the workshop — unless a particular workshop specifies otherwise (Mommy and Me sessions can be moved to another date with enough notice). Please note that bookings are non-refundable. -
Can I book a private group?
Yes! I love hosting small private groups for birthdays, bridal parties, baby showers and get-togethers. Send me a message via the enquiry form or WhatsApp and we can chat about what's possible. -
Is there parking available?
Yes, there's street parking available outside the venue.
